Prehistoric giant marsupial

Computer artwork of a Diprotodon. These Australian mammals, were the largest known marsupial that ever lived and lived from around 1.6 million years ago to around 40,000 years ago, through most of the Pleistocene epoch. The largest specimens were the size of a hippopotamus: about 3 metres tall at the shoulder.
