In this introduction to artificial intelligence, examines the concept of intelligence through interactive activities like intelligent paper and an invisible maze game. Background Information
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to computer systems capable of performing complex tasks that historically only humans could do, such as reasoning, making decisions, or solving problems. AI is an umbrella term that encompasses a wide variety of technologies, including machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing (NLP).
Today, the term “AI” describes a wide range of technologies that enable machines to perform tasks that previously only humans can do like generating written content, steering a car, analyzing data or powering many of the services and goods we use every day e.g. machine learning-powered technologies such as Chat GPT, apps that recommend TV shows, and chatbots that provide customer support in real time.

In this program students will:
- Generate and compare multiple possible solutions to a problem based on how well each is likely to meet the criteria and constraints of the problem.
- Integrate information from several texts on the same topic in order to write or speak about the subject knowledgeably.
- Use appropriate AI tools strategically.
- Evaluate how well a new tool has met its intended purpose and identify any shortcomings it might have.
