Background

Frogs are quite remarkable creatures, from their adaptations to their lifecycle they are a great animal for students to investigate

Note: Can be taught as a previsit, post visit or stand alone program.


Learning Intentions

In this program, students will:

  • Discover how different parts to a frogs body link with their functions
  • Understand the meaning of the term camouflage
  • Learn the life cycle stages of frogs
  • Look at the internal structures of frogs

Activities

Students will:

  • Observe live frogs or tadpoles and identify their body parts
  • Sequence the frog lifecycle
  • Complete a frog dissection on the ipads
